Receiving Referrals

When another provider sends a referral to your clinic, it appears in the Referrals list with a Pending badge.

Responding to a referral

  1. Go to Referrals
  2. Click the incoming referral
  3. Review the patient details and clinical notes
  4. Click Accept or Decline
    • If declining, add a brief reason (sent back to the referring provider)

After accepting

Once accepted, you can:

  • Book an appointment directly from the referral (links to the Appointments booking flow)
  • Add internal notes
  • Mark as Completed once the patient has been seen

Notifications

Your clinic receives a notification (portal badge) for every new incoming referral. Staff with appointment management permissions will also receive the notification.
