Receiving Referrals

When another provider sends a referral to your clinic, it appears in the Referrals list with a Pending badge.
Responding to a referral
- Go to Referrals
- Click the incoming referral
- Review the patient details and clinical notes
- Click Accept or Decline
- If declining, add a brief reason (sent back to the referring provider)
After accepting
Once accepted, you can:
- Book an appointment directly from the referral (links to the Appointments booking flow)
- Add internal notes
- Mark as Completed once the patient has been seen
Notifications
Your clinic receives a notification (portal badge) for every new incoming referral. Staff with appointment management permissions will also receive the notification.
