Subscription Plans
Last updated 24 April 2026
Local Health Care charges clinics based on appointment usage. There are no per-seat fees — you pay for what you use.
How billing works
Your subscription is usage-based:
- Each confirmed and completed appointment is metered
- You're billed monthly based on the number of appointments in the previous month
- Billing happens automatically via your saved payment method
Billing states
| State | What it means |
|---|---|
| Active | Subscription is current — all features available |
| Grace Period | Payment failed — features still available for a limited time |
| Suspended | Payment not resolved — new bookings are paused |
Grace period
If a payment fails, your clinic enters a grace period. During this time:
- All portal features continue to work
- You'll see a warning banner on the dashboard
- You have up to 7 days to update your payment method
Suspended state
If the payment isn't resolved during the grace period, your clinic is suspended:
- Patients can no longer book new appointments
- Existing appointments are preserved and visible
- All other portal features remain accessible
- Paying the outstanding invoice restores full service immediately
