Schedules & Slots

Each doctor's availability is managed independently. You set their working days, hours, and how their time is divided into appointment slots.

Setting weekly availability

  1. Open the doctor's profile from the Doctors tab
  2. Click Manage Schedule
  3. For each day of the week, toggle it on or off
  4. For active days, set start time and end time (e.g., 9:00am–5:00pm)
  5. Set the slot duration — how long each appointment slot is (15, 20, 30, 45, or 60 minutes)
  6. Set a break period (optional, e.g., 1:00pm–2:00pm for lunch)

The system will automatically create appointment slots within the available hours.

Time off and unavailability

To block out specific dates (holidays, training, sick leave):

  1. Go to the doctor's schedule
  2. Click Add Time Off
  3. Select the date range and optionally add a note (internal only — not shown to patients)
  4. Save

Patients cannot book during time-off periods.

Appointment slot capacity

By default, each slot accepts one booking. If your clinic allows multiple patients per slot (e.g., group sessions), you can increase the capacity:

  1. Edit the schedule
  2. Set Max bookings per slot to the desired number
  3. Save

Emergency slots

If your clinic has emergency appointments enabled, you can create special emergency slots that bypass the standard booking flow. See Emergency Slots.
