Schedules & Slots

Each doctor's availability is managed independently. You set their working days, hours, and how their time is divided into appointment slots.
Setting weekly availability
- Open the doctor's profile from the Doctors tab
- Click Manage Schedule
- For each day of the week, toggle it on or off
- For active days, set start time and end time (e.g., 9:00am–5:00pm)
- Set the slot duration — how long each appointment slot is (15, 20, 30, 45, or 60 minutes)
- Set a break period (optional, e.g., 1:00pm–2:00pm for lunch)
The system will automatically create appointment slots within the available hours.
Time off and unavailability
To block out specific dates (holidays, training, sick leave):
- Go to the doctor's schedule
- Click Add Time Off
- Select the date range and optionally add a note (internal only — not shown to patients)
- Save
Patients cannot book during time-off periods.
Appointment slot capacity
By default, each slot accepts one booking. If your clinic allows multiple patients per slot (e.g., group sessions), you can increase the capacity:
- Edit the schedule
- Set Max bookings per slot to the desired number
- Save
Emergency slots
If your clinic has emergency appointments enabled, you can create special emergency slots that bypass the standard booking flow. See Emergency Slots.
